Finance Manager - Delta (219)
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join this dynamic and interesting business at its 340 person strong head office in Delta. Managing a team of 9 direct reports you will provide senior level Financial Control and Reporting expertise. In particular you will:
- Develop and provide leadership to the financial reporting and consolidations team.
- Provide management and positive direction in leading the Reporting and Control function in supporting key global business decisions.
- Manage the month-end process including the preparation of financial statements.
- Lead the development and implementation of new systems, policies and best practices across the wider organization.
- Perform variance analysis and write the associated performance commentary.
Benefits:
$90,000 - $105,000 Base Salary
Requirements:
- Senior level finance and leadership experience gained within a large corporate or public practice environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian or US GAAP.
- Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic and energetic leadership style.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and feel comfortable in white space areas.

The role has a broad remit which encompasses month-end close, financial reporting, variance analysis and reconciliations. You will report directly to the Controller and manage your own team of four staff.

Financial Reporting and IFRS Lead (220)
Our client a Corporate Head Office in downtown Vancouver requires a Financial Reporting Manager and IFRS Finance Lead!
In the Reporting role, responsibilities include the development and interpretation of accounting policies, preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and for compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance of policies and procedures through management certification and other processes. The position also oversees all accounting and financial reporting activities related to the corporate Pension Plan. The incumbent is responsible for managing taxes and grants in compliance with laws and regulations, determining appropriate accounting treatment for specialized accounting transactions, and liaising with external auditors on internal and pension audits.
As the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Finance Lead, the manager is responsible for working with external advisors and internal stakeholders and leads the planning and execution of the Finance stream of the IFRS project. This position will also be working with partnering organization's IFRS project team to converge the financial accounting and reporting for the organization.
You must hold a recognized accounting designation; possess polished presentation abilities and have significant senior level experience managing a team in a large regulated organization. This is a terrific opportunity with a salary of up $120K plus pension and up to 8 weeks holiday.
