Corporate communications & administrative person moving to Vancouver
I am moving to Vancouver from the Fraser Valley hopefully by the end of May and definitely by the end of June, and seeking work in the downtown area. As I don't have a car, your business needs to be transit-accessible if not within walking distance from Kits or the West End.
I have considerable experience in administration and corporate communications with the public, private, and non-profit sectors, both as an employee and when running my own small business, including all marketing, project management, administrative, and clerical functions. (Former clients included the Bill Reid Foundation, B.C.'s Children's Hospital Telethon (Public Sector), Save the Children Fund of Canada, Partners Inc. (a fundraising organization), and others.
I am an excellent communicator and a quick learner, with well-honed presentation, workshop facilitation, public speaking, and administrative skills.
My last position was strictly administrative, covering a 14-month leave of absence. I was responsible for invoicing, debt collection, accounts payable and receivable, monthly cost sheets, and reception duties including courier, ordering supplies, answering inquiries, etc. I enjoyed this position and would have been able to remain had the incumbent not chosen to return to work.
My resume is at the following link: http://www.geocities.com/jaguarcat2002/resume.html
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this in greater depth. As there is no public transit from Abbotsford to Vancouver, I would need a little advance notice in order to rent a vehicle or otherwise find a way into the City. I can be reached through the following E-mail address: jaguarcat2002@yahoo.ca
Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
