Card Dealer In-Training
We are seeking individuals to become Card
Dealers for Great Canadian Casinos. To be successful in this role you must be able to adhere to the high standards, methods and procedures of gaming at Great Canadian Casinos.
As a Card Dealer, you are responsible for providing superior customer service and conducting all games in a precise, efficient and secure manner according to the policies and procedures.
You must be able to work 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts including nights and weekends as we operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You must also be able to work at any of our lower mainland locations such as River Rock Casino in Richmond, Boulevard Casino in Coquitlam and Fraser Downs in Cloverdale which requires that you have access to reliable transportation.
Potential candidates must successfully complete a five week full time paid training course through our preferred service provider for training, the Canadian Gaming Institute. This training will be for Black Jack which is entry level for Dealers. Courses conducted by the Canadian Gaming Institute are designed to exceed the highest standards of the gaming industry. This rigorous training will position candidates to understand the complexity of games and become exceptional Dealers.
Once certified, new dealers will be scheduled to work at our casinos in the Lower Mainland.
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications
• High school diploma required, post secondary education an asset
• Strong communication and mathematical skills
• Proven customer service skills
• Strong ability to follow policies, procedures and practices
• Manual dexterity and able to stand for long periods of time
• A professional appearance
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with work schedule

Enrolment Processor
works closely with the Assistant Directors of Admissions (ADA’s) to provide a key role in the new student enrollment process by assisting in follow-up for new students after application. Acting as a liaison between Admissions and Student Financial Services, and other departments the position is responsible for providing support by maintaining administrative systems, procedures, policies, and monitoring departmental projects. In addition, responsibilities will include maintenance student admissions files for all applicants and computer input and updating of all incoming transcripts and testing.
Key Job Elements:
1. Assure that the EDMC philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and an environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
2. Handles requests for high school transcripts needed for new enrollments. Processes all High School and College transcripts for enrolled students daily
3. Tracks all testing for the department. Schedules times, gathers information and delivers to the Education Department in an accurate and timely manner.
4. Assists department in preparing for class start with documents needed and inputting Hold’s as needed for incomplete academic files.
5. Provides necessary administrative support to Director of Admissions and ADA’s for daily projects as well as special events.
6. Projects a positive, helpful attitude to clients/students in need of assistance.
7. Creates Financial Aid folders for the SFS department in an accurate and timely manner.
8. Provide relief for the front desk and Mailroom Co-ordinator.
9. Creates the weekly ADA newsletter.
10. Generate and prints off all appropriate Sales Update and Sales Management reports.
11. Some weekend work and overtime may be required during Open House and peak periods
