The Respiratory Therapist is a member of the patient care team and functions within the Hospital to collect diagnostic data, provide specialized Respiratory Therapy to patients and support the education of other hospital staff. The Respiratory Therapist's duties include, but are not limited to, the safe and appropriate application of a variety of respiratory equipment and procedures. Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and clinical practice guidelines as outlined by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists. The successful applicants work extensively in critical care areas and as a member of the Code team will perform cardio-respiratory resuscitation.
