For sale are vintage Italian glass mosaic tile from the 1960s. Quantities of both Saivo ?mosaico vetroso? from Firenze and Vetrum ?mosaici vetrosi? from Venezia/Mestre are also available. The individual tiles measure approximately 1/2"x1/2"x1/8" thick and come on 12?x12? paper backed sheets - tiles are sold by the sheet. They are particularly special because of their irregularities and the sharp edge look (unlike most contemporary machine edged mosaic tiles, which makes for crisp modern detailing and difficult to find for a reasonable price). The picture of the tile gives a good sense of the colour, though exact colour accuracy isn?t guaranteed due to the limits of the digital scanning.
If you are in or near Vancouver you are welcome to come have a look at the tiles, or arrange for local pick-up.
I bought a large lot of beautiful tiles for my own renovation and need to sell the extras (I found them at a place trying to get rid of this old vintage line).
